At the AlcHempist our minimum farming standards are typically better than people's best farming standards. We begin with minimum USDA-certified organic standards and go "Beyond Organic" from here. Our farm utilizes the soil food web, cover crops, nature, and water to create a superior product to traditionally farmed hemp. Cover crops and wild pollinators are used to fix nitrogen and pull in natural predator insects as well as birds and other wildlife. This visible food web, coupled with the invisible to the naked eye soil food web, under the ground, provides everything the hemp plants need to grow and flourish to their full healing potential. With the lack of chemical fertilizers, comes increased flavor, more robust terpene profiles, and higher minor cannabinoid profiles. These all directly impact the efficacy of the end consumer product and the results the customer gets. Additionally, with the lack of chemical fertilizers, plants are able to develop their own systemic acquired response, which basically means they can develop their own ability to deal with pests, and therefore pesticides are no longer needed. This type of attention to detail on our small farm, guarantees higher quality, result-driven, craft products. Most other certified organic farms are not utilizing natural elements, still use organic fertilizers, and do not rotate their crops resulting in less nutrient-dense healing plants and consumer products.
Hemp is a variety of the Cannabis sativa L plant. Specifically it refers to the non-intoxicating (less than 0.3% THC) strain of Cannabis known as Industrial Hemp. Hemp and marijuana come from the same cannabis plant species, but contain different genetics and cannabinoid profiles. Hemp is rich in the non-euphoric cannabinoid known as, cannabidiol or CBD, while marijuana is mostly known for it's psychoactive cannabinoid tetrahydrocannabinol or THC.

We love supporting small farmers and only purchase the richest and fullest plants available each season! We use Alchemical extraction techniques, using only organic materials, to concentrate our Hemp into the richest, most potent, and magical extract possible! The result is our "Magical Hemp Extract" which is our key flagship ingredient we use in making all of our products.
Yes! One of the key active components of our "Magical Hemp Extract" is CBD. The Hemp Flower we source to make our products comes naturally loaded with this calming, immune boosting, compound. Through our extraction process we are able to concentrate this active ingredient into a much higher and more potent form. It's important to note that CBD is just one of the hundreds of beneficial compounds we produce in our "Magical Hemp Extract"
Our "Magical Hemp Extract" typically does contain VERY small amounts of THC(less than 0.3%) naturally. This amount of THC is not enough to have intoxicating effects or make you feel high. Our aim is to keep the Hemp, and its various beneficial compounds, in the most purest and potent form possible. Many CBD products that have the THC completely removed are highly processed, use chemicals in their process, and overall contain a lot less of the other beneficial compounds that make the plant magical.
